Vintage Toshiba SR-250 belt-drive, semi-automatic turntable (Made in Japan)

Description

Vintage Toshiba SR-250 belt-drive, semi-automatic turntable in good condition. Unit has been tested and is working properly. Headshell comes mounted with a Realistic (Shure) R47ED cartridge & Shure RS5E stylus. I don't know how many hours are on the cart/stylus, but they sound fine and appear to be in good condition. Turntable operates smoothly and audio playback is balanced in both channels. Platter speed is accurate at both 33 & 45 rpm. Speed adjustment controls operate correctly. Strobe lamp illuminates fully. Turntable is a semi-auto unit and tonearm must be manually cued to start play. Arm returns automatically at end of disc or when 'Auto-Cut' is pressed. Tonearm arm operation is smooth and works properly. Several times during initial testing, the arm did not want to lower onto tonearm rest after it returned. I lubricated the cam lever under the platter and the problem didn't occur again. This was the only mechanical issue I found during testing.
Cosmetically, unit looks very good and shows minimal wear. This unit was missing dust cover hinges when I bought it. Cover was just sitting on top of base. I had a pair of hinges in stock that had a similar style and screw hole pattern. The hinges work well, but don't allow the cover to close perfectly flush (please see photos #9-11). Cover sits flush in front, but not on sides or back. I don't think it is that noticeable, but there is a gap. Face of turntable and control panel look great and show very little wear. Platter & mat look fantastic. Tonearm assembly, counterweight, and rest/ lock are all fully intact and in very good condition. Rubber-coated tonearm support has a slight indentation where arm sits. Some of the tonearm hardware has light spotting. A four feet are present and in good shape. Dust cover has typical wear (lots of tiny, swirly scratches). No cracks, gouges, melt spots, or damage. RCA cables, ground wire, and power cord are all intact and in good condition. No evidence of smoke or moisture exposure.
Unit is guaranteed to arrive in described condition. Please inspect & test upon receiving and notify me directly if there are any issues. Turntable will be packaged securely for shipment (double box, tonearm secured, platter & counterweight removed and wrapped separately, ample cushioning).
